Frequenty Asked Questions
HOW MUCH WILL MY TREATMENT COST?
Pricing may vary depending on a number of things such as; the severity of the case, what materials need to be used, and what your health insurance can cover. Upon your first consultation and examination, we can provide a more accurate quote so that we make sure we don’t charge you for things you don’t need.
ARE YOU OPEN ON WEEKENDS?
We are open Saturdays and take patients from 9am to 1pm. The practice is closed on Sundays, but feel free to leave us a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE ON-SITE?
There is council parking in front of the surgery but spaces are limited. We recommend the council parking close to the train station, the Fairfield RSL, or Neeta City shopping centre, which are all within a 5 minute walk.
I STARTED TREATMENT WITH A DIFFERENT DENTIST BUT DIDN’T FINISH IT. WILL YOU FINISH OFF MY TREATMENT?
We don’t normally accept cases where the patient is halfway through a treatment as it is deemed unethical, unless they are referred by their previous dentist, and all information relating to your case is handed over to us. This ensures that we are able to continue your treatment without jeopardising the integrity of the work done by the previous dentist.
In case of a Dental Emergency:
If you have a dental emergency relating to some recent treatment with mydentist, call us on 02 9727 9473 and we will book you in as soon as possible.
Swelling can be a symptom of infection. If it is coupled with pain or irritation, this is considered a dental emergency. In a few cases, swelling may also be due to new fixtures or fittings.
If you are suffering from a severe toothache, call us first, and confirm an appointment. If the pain is unbearable, you can take paracetamol or similar pain killers with the recommendation of the dentist over the phone.
If you have knocked out a tooth, avoid disturbing it with your fingers or tongue. Store the tooth in cold milk instead of water. Make an appointment as soon as possible, ideally within the hour of the incident.
If you have suffered some trauma, please get in touch with us immediately. If you have fractured or broken your tooth, avoid eating or drinking hot or cold substances.
If crowns, bridges or dentures come off, wash and store them in a clean place. Contact us immediately, and bring them with you to your appointment.
If you have broken your dentures, do not try to glue them yourself. Book an appointment and bring them in for assessment.
